Why Partners

Partnership: At the core of everything we do

There’s a lot packed into that one word “Partners”. First, and most basically, we started the company as partners, each with a complementary set of experiences and skills, which we thought would benefit our clients in ways that we weren’t seeing in other AI service providers. We are partners in everything we do, and we have started bringing on likeminded people with similar mindsets and complementary skillsets, to further enhance the value we bring to our clients.

Secondly, we approach our clients as partners. We wake up in the morning with the same worries and the same goals. The problems we solve are “our” problems, and we have a shared interest in solving them with speed, quality, and value. When working with clients at other large consulting firms, some people assumed we were full time employees of the client, rather than external contractors. We created a level of trust and collaboration that made everything work better.

Thirdly, we partner with leading model providers and hyperscalers. This allows us to quickly bring great solutions to our clients. Our partnerships give us access to expertise and insight into future technologies and services. We believe that it’s often much more effective to partner with the right technology provider rather than build a custom solution, and we ensure that our clients make the best decisions with the right partners.

Finally, there is a lot of talk and concern about AI and agentic systems taking peoples’ jobs and being harmful. As we create our suite of business process agents, we see these agents as partners to the workforce. We talked about ourselves as a group of partners with complementary skills. The same idea is true for the relationship between a worker and agent. Each has things that they are good and bad at. Our goal is to create agents that are complementary to their “coworkers”, so that the sum of the two is greater than either one separately.

That’s the reason for “Partners”. But why “Fourier”?

Fourier and Transformation

Joseph Fourier was a French mathematician whose work included an approach to signal analysis that led to the Fourier Transform. In simplified terms, the Fourier Transform allows you to take a complex signal (like a recording of a sound) and break it down into its component frequencies. This allows you to alter each component and then reconstruct the signal back into something different and better. For example, you might take a recording of a song and use a Fourier Transform to help you remove some background noise and amplify the bass to make the song better.

We take a similar approach to how we analyze and solve our clients’ business problems. We take complex systems such as business processes, workflows, or analytics systems, and break them down into their component parts. From there, we look at where there are costs, challenges, or opportunities. We identify where the most value can be gained in the near, medium, and long term. Then we create a plan that delivers the best possible results, based on a careful analysis of the challenges and opportunities.

This approach not only helps us reduce technical complexity - it also helps us clarify the challenges and value for our clients and stakeholders. The goal is to create a shared understanding of not only what we’re building, and how we’re building, but also why we’re building, and what the outcome will be. This common understanding helps everyone “partner” together.
